The exhibit will remain open until 5:00 pm on Monday April 22.     Craig Newswanger, VP Optical Engineering for Openwater, San Francisco is a holography pioneer for past 3 decades. His many firsts include the core invention, design and build out to high volume manufacturing of holograms at Zebra Imaging & Applied Holographics.  Founding team that co-created Special Effects for the Disney Epcot Center. “Holographic Methods Applied to Light Field Imaging” Smith Seminar Room (PRB 1080) 11:30-12:30, Friday April 19. A review of the old and new history of integral imaging and how holography can be used to advantage. Plus, A new idea will be presented for the first time that enables a lower cost, active, full parallax 3D display . Sally Weber is an independent artist living in Oakland, CA. Sally graduated with a Master from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology though the Center for Advanced Visual Studies. Weber’s interest in light inspires her work using optical and digital holography, video, dimensional photography, and laser installations. Her work focuses on revealing the immediacy of the  essential natural forces underlying life and the patterns that interconnect them.  “Light Installations from Elemental and Beyond,” Smith Labs Rm 006 4:00-5:00, Friday April 19. Sally’s most recent work includes installations at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH, The McNay Museum, San Antonio, TX, the Museo of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal and the Kunsthalle, Budapest, Hungary.
