Undergraduate Summer Research Projects Showcased During Poster Session

Fourteen undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors participated in this summer's 10-week long Physics Undergraduate Research Program. On July 16 they shared their research projects with faculty, graduate students, post-docs, and other undergraduate students during a poster session hosted by the Physics Undergraduate Studies Office.

- Olivia Manger, working with Dr. Daniel Brandenberg, presented Mock Analysis of J/psi -> e+e- in p+p collisions at √snn = 510 GeV with the STAR Forward Upgrade
- Brickelle Rahmaan Bixler, working with Dr. Michael Poirier, presented Optimizing Buffer Conditions for DNA Origami Free Energy Force Spectrometer
- Aatmaj Rajesh, working with Dr. Jeanie Lau, presented Patterned Piezoelectric Architectures for Strain Engineering in 2D Materials
- Ayden Rinaldi, working with Dr. Mike Chini, presented Interferometric FROG Using Third-Order Nonlinearity
- John Scott, working with Dr. Mike Lisa, presented Observations of Alpha Virginis with Stellar Intensity Interferometry
- Aditi Sinha, working with Dr. Roland Kawakami, presented Growing Superconducting Thin Films for Spintronics Applications
- Zhan Yang, working with Dr. Sasha Landsman, presented Rydberg State Formation in Strong-Field Ionization
