Students receive NSF Fellowships

Students Edward McCary, John Moreland and Mallory Molina

Students in the Department of Physics once again have been awarded National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowships.  Among them are Seniors Edward McCary, John Moreland and Mallory Molina (pictured here) and graduate student Sara Rajaram (not pictured).  In addition Elizabeth Otto, an undergraduate in Astronomy and Physics, and Justin Young, a graduate student in Physics, received honorable mention.   Adam Reed, an OSU Physics alum, now studying at the University of Colorado at Boulder, also received a fellowship.

This year ten OSU graduating seniors received this award - three of them were from Physics!

NSF Fellowships provide three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees. 2,000 Fellowships are awarded annually to graduating seniors and first- and second-year graduate students to ensure the vitality of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the United States.

Congratulations to all of the awardees!
