How to find us - Parking - lunch, etc.
Welcome to The Ohio State University Department of Physics
While Ohio State can feel like an enormous place, finding us is simple. Our department is located in the Physics Research Building (PRB), and the information below will help you navigate your visit. General directions to campus can be found here.
Location
Most event activities will take place in the Physics Research Building (PRB), located at 191 W. Woodruff Avenue.
We are approximately:
- One block south of Lane Avenue (a major east-west route on the north edge of campus)
- Two blocks west of High Street (a major north-south route on the east edge of campus)
This places the PRB in the northeast portion of Campus, easily accessible from both Route 315 and I-71.
Parking
Visitor parking garages are the most convenient option, with the Lane Avenue Garage and Tuttle Park Garage only a short walk from the PRB.
Please note:
- Parking is enforced 24/7 on campus.
- Faculty, staff, and students must pay for permits--there is no free parking.
- Visitor parking rates are typically $10.00 per day, with shorter-term fees posted at each garage.
Surface parking is also available at Blue Pay-N-Display machines located throughout campus. Click here for rates and details.
