The OSU Newark SciDome Planetarium Internship Program has been recognized by the Ohio State University Office of Outreach and Engagement as a 2026 Program of Excellence in Engaged Scholarship. This program is led by director and lecturer, Dr. Dilupama Divartne. 

The Office of Outreach and Engagement established this annual certification to recognize programs that support and promote high-impact engaged scholarship. The designation highlights projects that demonstrate excellence in community-engaged scholarship and meet the criteria for high-impact engagement.
