OSU vs Buffalo Football Game will impact parking on Saturday

The first game of the 2013 Football season is on Saturday - OSU will host the Buffalo Bulls for a noon kickoff at Ohio Stadium. Seasoned OSU faculty, staff and students know the impact that 106,000 fans can have on traffic, parking and even pedestrian traffic. For those who are new to campus, please note that all traffic will be directed toward Ohio Stadium starting about 2-3 hours before the game and away from campus following the game. Some streets will be closed and all parking garages are designated for specific purposes on game days. If you plan to come to campus on Saturday, either plan to come early (before 8 am) and plan to leave while the game is in progress or at least 2 hours after it ends (games starting at noon usually end around 3:30 pm).
There will be thousands of fans on High Street, Lane Avenue and all over campus. Some are returning alumni, some are just avid Buckeye fans. There will be an increased police presence due to the size of the crowd and the number of vehicles and pedestrians. Most folks who are not attending the game try to avoid campus during home games.
Attending a football game at Ohio Stadium is more than just a football game. We have a world renowned marching band and a great game day atmosphere with tailgating around the stadium. If you have an opportunity to attend a game, it will be a memorable experience.
