Graduate Student Chun Shen is awarded the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad

Chun Shen, Physics Graduate student, advised by Professor Ulrich Heinz has recently been awarded a scholarship by the China Scholarship council.  The Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad is a scolarship set up the China Scholarship Council to honor overseas Chinese students with outstanding academic accomplishments across all fields of study around the world.  Established in 2003, this award was developed to encourage research excellence and to recognize the achievements among Chinese students abroad.  Only 30 Chinese students in the Northeastern ten-state jurisdiction are receiving the awards this year.
