Yesterday, November 2, 2005, marked the 20th anniversary of the Physics Research Building, a cornerstone of our department's research collaboration, and community.

The story of our physics facilities goes back even further--80 years ago, plans for the previous new Physics Building, Smith Lab, were approved in 1945, making an important chapter in the department's history.
