Hidden charm pentaquarks – 10 years later

Location: 1080 Physics Research Building

Faculty Host: Eric Braaten

Abstract: Ten years ago, the LHCb experiment published the convincing evidence for existence of pentaquarks with charm – anticharm quark pair and three light quarks inside. I will review experimental progress in studies of heavy-quark pentaquarks, and related tetraquarks, since then. While such exotic hadron spectroscopy is better understood now, there are still plenty of important questions to be answered. Future experimental prospects will be discussed.
