In this talk I'll discuss key discoveries made at RHIC on the nature of the strong force and the matter that emerges from the theory of Quantum Chromo-dynamics. I'll also discuss the future of the accelerator based study of these topics.  1080 Physics Research Building - Smith Seminar Room - reception at 3:45 pm in the Atrium America/New_York public
