Colloquium - Paul Sorensen (Brookhaven National Lab) - Nuclear Matter Studies at RHIC; Where We Are and What's Next
The Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory has been in operation for more than a decade. In this talk I'll discuss key discoveries made at RHIC on the nature of the strong force and the matter that emerges from the theory of Quantum Chromo-dynamics. I'll also discuss the future of the accelerator based study of these topics.
