Spring HoloFest 2014 brings noted holographers to OSU

The OSU Holography Club, advised by Professor Harris Kagan, will be hosting Spring HoloFest 2014 beginning on Friday April 18 with a lecture by Betsy Connors at 3:00 pm in 0006 Smith Laboratory.  A former fellow of MIT's Center for Advanced Visual studies and an alumna and lecturer in art holography at the Media Lab's Spacial Imaging Group, Connors operates the only private holography lab in the Boston area.  For more information on Ms Connors go to  http://web.mit.edu/museum/lightforest/artist.html

Exhibitions of student projects as well as that of the visiting lecturers will be on exhibit in 0006 Smith Laboratory beginning at 5:00 pm on April 18.  Refreshments will be served.

On Monday April 22, Sam Moree will be the guest lecturer at 3:00 pm.  Sam Moree is an artist who has been working with holography, video and sculpture for over 35 years. As well as being a mentor for many well-known holographers, Sam teaches a holography class for the School of Visual Arts in his Manhattan studio.  For more information on Sam Moree go to  http://holocenter.org/artists/sam-moree/
