The Columbus Dispatch and NBC4i visited the Scarlet Laser Facility on July 16 and witnessed the firing of the SCARLET laser. Professor Douglass Schumacher and the staff and students of the Science Center for Advanced Research on Lasers and Engineered Targets (Scarlet) demonstrated the culmination of five years work by dozens of students, both undergraduate and graduate, research scientists and faculty funded by a grant from the Department of Energy.
