Professors Michael Poirier and Carlos Castro Receive NSF Grant for $700k for Gene Transcription Project

Michael Poirier, Professor and Chair of the Department of Physics, and Carlos Castro, Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, have received a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant for $700k for their project, "DNA Origami-based machines for epigenetic manipulation of gene transcription."
This project is a collaboration with a team in France, funded by the French Science Funding Agency (ANR).
