The time has come again for the Ohio State Fair and the physics demonstrations group will once again be manning the "Phun with Physics" booth.  For the last 15 years The Physics Department has sponsored the booth as an outreach program during the fair.  This event reaches thousands of young children and we help to foster their love of science through hands-on experiments and an exciting demonstration show.

Ohio State University Phun With Physics  at Ohio State Fair Youth Center We’re not just blowing smoke! Visit OSU’s Phun with Physics booth for some extreme science fun. Be dazzled with some cool liquid nitrogen experiments that are sure to rock the building. Get prepared for the Fair’s roller coaster with our Spinning Barf Wheel of Science. We will drive home the point about pressure when you lay down on our bed of nails (kids this is your chance to walk all over your parents). See diet coke and mentos reach new heights and get pumped launching a rocket to the Youth Center ceiling. Push the pedal to the metal on our popular Power Bicycle of Science and compare your endurance to famous Buckeye (and NFL) football players that rode this same bike in their classes. Be amazed as Kooky Katie breaks a solid board with her bare hand. Radically fun, in your face science shows that always end with a bang and a mess, but don’t tell anyone that you might be learning something as well. Let’s Go Bucks. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
