OSU Planetarium Scheduled to Re-Open October 12

When Ohio State’s totally renovated—from dome to floor—planetarium re-opens to the public on International Astronomy Day, Saturday, Oct. 12, be prepared to SEE stars. The state-of-the art Spitz SciDome XD extreme definition digital projector and NanoSeam dome, digital surround-sound system, comfortable theater seating, and numerous other improvements, will wow the most jaded star-show goer. Showings begin at 3 pm, and repeat every half hour until 9 pm. All shows are free, but due to limited seating, reservations are strongly recommended. Weather permitting, the grand re-opening includes a star party on the roof of Smith Lab, 174 W. 18th Ave., starting at  7:30 pm.  Click here for more details and to make a reservation.
