Michael Poirier elected to 2025 class of AAAS Fellows
Dr. Michael Poirier, professor of physics, has been elected to the 2025 class of American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS) Fellows. He is one of four Ohio State University scientists to receive the honor this year.
One of the most prestigious honors a U.S. scientist can receive, the AAAS Fellowship is a lifetime recognition of scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science. Dr. Poirier was elected by his academic peers alongside 448 other fellows across 24 disciplinary sections. He will be formally celebrated at a forum in Washington D.C., on May 29, 2026.
