Jonathan Timcheck Named Goldwater Scholar

Jonathan Timcheck, a sophomore engineering physics major, has been awarded the prestigious Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship.  The Goldwater is the most prestigious national award for undergraduate researchers in science, math and engineering.  Jonathan is one of 271 recipients nationwide.  Jonathan has  conducted research with Dr. Richard Hughes and Dr. Brian Winer in particle physics. Congratulations Jonathan!!

Footnote:  Since 2005 there have been 9 Physics Goldwater Scholars from OSU - we are tied with Harvard and exceed Cal Tech, MIT, Stanford, Princeton, UC - Berkeley, and Cornell.
