Four students awarded Honorable Mention by NSF

2017 NSF Honorable Mention winners

Pictured are Kaeli Hughes, Lucas Beaufore, Andrew Piper and Jordan Melendez - all awarded Honorable Mention by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program.

Kaeli Hughes is an undergraduate senior advised by Prof. Amy Connolly.  Her project was "Mapping the Universe in Ultra High Energy Neutrinos with the Askaryan Radio Array."

Lucas Beaufore is a recent graduate advised by Prof. Klaus Honscheid.  His project was "Improvements to the KoTO Data Acquisition System."

Andrew Piper is a 2nd year graduate student advised by Prof. Lou Di Mauro.  His project was "Ultrafast Transient Absorption Spectroscopy of Silicene."

Jordan Melendez is a 2nd year graduate student advised by Prof. Dick Furnstahl.  His project was "A Bayesian Analysis of Chiral Effective Field Theory."
