It's official.  Dr. Brian Winer is the new chair of the Department of Physics.  The department celebrated the 8 year tenure of Jim Beatty on Thursday afternoon with a reception in the Vernier Commons with a short program, presentation of gifts and refreshments.  An assembly of over 130 faculty, students and staff from Physics and the College of Arts and Sciences came together to thank Jim for his service to the department.  A good time was had by all.
