Nuclear Physics Seminar - Alex Schmah (LBL) "Flow in the RHIC Beam Energy Scan"
Elliptic and direct flow are important observables to study the early evolution of the created matter in relativistic heavy-ion collision experiments. It is expected that flow is sensitive to a phase transition from a quark gluon plasma to a hadron gas phase. A beam energy scan program was carried out at RHIC to find signatures for this phase transition. I will present the latest flow results from STAR from the beam energy scan and discuss the number-of-constituent quark scaling of v_2 and blast wave fits.
