High Energy Physics Seminar - Piyush Kumar (Columbia University) " Baryon Asymmetry & DM from Electroweak Physics"
A class of models will be explored in which both the Dark Matter (DM) and Baryon abundances arise from Electroweak scale physics. The underlying structure of the model gives rise to interesting correlations between the two aspects of physics both from a theoretical and phenomenological point of view. In particular, interesting connections between the baryon asymmetry produced by Electroweak Baryogenesis and DM direct and indirect detection signals will be pointed out. Since the underlying mechanisms operate at the Electroweak scale, there are interesting connections with collider signals at the LHC as well."
