High Energy Physics Seminar - Jnanadev Maharana (IOP Bhubaneshwar) - "The S-matrix Proposal"

First I shall recall the historical developments of the S-matrix theory and point out how causality and analyticity of the scattering amplitude are related. The quantum field theoretic developments will be discussed without appealing to any model. I shall also derive the upper bound on total cross section, the Froissart bound, for asymptotic energies.
