High Energy Physics Seminar - Emil Martinec (University of Chicago) "Long Strings, Little Strings and Fuzzballs
Fractionated brane bound states carry the entropy of BPS and near-BPS black holes in string theory. In the best understood examples, this entropy is carried by an effective string of fractionated tension. This leads to a novel picture of the black hole interior, whose relation to the fuzzball program will be discussed.
