The top quark, being the heaviest elementary particle, has some unique features which makes measurement of its properties quite interesting and can be used as a tool to probe for new physics. Abstract: Several models predict modifications to the SM properties in the presence of new particles. The top quark, being the heaviest elementary particle, has some unique features which makes measurement of its properties quite interesting and can be used as a tool to probe for new physics. With the CMS collecting an unprecedented amount of data with the ongoing Run3, we have the advantage of conducting precision measurements of rare processes in dedicated phase spaces to verify SM predictions and to look for New Physics.
