Colloquium - Phil Bucksbaum (Stanford University) Ultrafast X-ray Lasers and Making Molecular Movies
Free electron laser sources in the 0.1-10 femtosecond and 0.1-30 nanometer range promise to revolutionize the way we observe molecular physics in the laboratory. I will discuss the current efforts and future opportunities to employ these sources for molecular movies on on the quantum scale.
