The research of Prof John Beacom and his collaborators at the Super-Kamiokande neutrino observatory is highlighted in a February 27, 2019 news article in NATURE.  Of special note is that later this year, the rare-earth metal gadolinium will be added to water in which the Super-K is submerged. The idea to add gadolinium was a result of ideas first formulated by Prof. Beacom and his colleague Mark Vagins in the early 2000s. Read all about it.
