Undergrads Present at the Eastern Great Lakes Section of American Physical Society
Department of Physics Undergraduate Students Josie Rose and John Scott presented at the Eastern Great Lakes Section of American Physical Society this past weekend.
Josie Rose is a third year Physics and Astronomy undergrad. Rose presented her work on stellar intensity interferometry at the Eastern Great Lakes Section of the American Physical Society annual meeting, in Cleveland, on the 21st of October. She has been performing analysis on telescope correlations with the VERITAS collaboration with Professor Michael Lisa for more than two years, and is co-author on a paper to be submitted for publication.
John Scott is a second year Physics undergrad. Scott presented a poster at the same meeting, on his study to understand the ADC spectra from each telescope, in terms of Poisson statistics, electronic noise, and an intermittent RF pickup signal.
Congratulations to both Josie and John for their hard work on these projects!
