Record number of students graduate in Physics and Engineering Physics

A record number of students graduated on May 6 with degrees in Physics and Engineering Physics. 47 Physics and 23 Engineering Physics majors graduated during the 2017-2018 academic year for a total of 70 students which breaks our previous record of 62 graduates.  22 students graduated with honors and 11 graduated with research distinction. 

Post-graduation plans include advanced study in astronomy, materials science, computer sciences, astrophysics, biophysics, electrical engineering, condensed matter physics, nuclear physics, statistics, mechanical engineering, and medicine at Penn State, Yale, USC, University of Virginia, University of Minnesota, University of Illinois, University of Michigan, UCSD, and Cornell.  Several graduates are planning on starting full-time jobs at Swagelok, Wexner Medical Center, Vencore, Inc., Toyota, Epic Systems, and Northrop Grumman.
