Prof. Steve Ringel named Distinguished University Professor

Professor Steve Ringel who holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Physics was recently surprised by the announcement that he would become one of two Distinguished University Professors named in 2018. Steve is a Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, holding the Neal A Smith Endowed Chair in Electrical Engineering. In addition to Physics, he also holds a courtsey appointment in Materals Science and Engineering. Besides these positions he is also the Director of the Institute for Materials Research and Associate Vice President for Research in the Office of Research.
