Prof. Michael Lisa named 2020 OSU Distinguished Scholar

Professor Michael Lisa was surprised on Friday with the announcement that he is the recipient of a 2020 Distinguished Scholar Award.

This award recognizes and honors six faculty members annually who demonstrate scholarly activity, research or other creative works which represent exceptional achievement in their fields.  Recipients of the award receive a $20,000 research grant and a $3,000 honorarium to pursue their scholarly activity.

Morley Stone, Senior Vice President for Research; Jan Weisenberger, Senior Associate Vice President for Research; Randy Moses, Senior Associate Vice President for Research; Gretchen Ritter, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; Christopher Jaroniec, Divisional Dean for Natural and Mathematical Sciences; and Brian Winer, Physics Department Chair surprised Professor Lisa over video.
