The Office of Environmental Health & Safety has recognized Prof. Ezekiel Johnston-Halperin's laboratory for its efforts to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for the laboratory staff. The most recent annual safety inspection of the laboratories for chemical and/or biological safety procedures found no items of concern. The inspection focused on appropriate facilities, protocols that minimize risks, and properly trained, competent personnel.

The laboratory has been commended for all of its hard work, and was presented a certificate of achievement recognizing it on the Research Safety Dean's List.
