As students and faculty were finishing finals and preparing for the holiday break, Professor Lou DiMauro and his wife, Barbara, were on their way to Sweden to attend the 2018 Nobel prize ceremonies.  Yes, that is truly a picture of Lou in white tie and tails!! They were invited by the Nobel Committee for Physics and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences for his expertise in laser physics, the same field that the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded - to scientists Arthur Ashkin, Gerard Mourou and Donna Strickland.
