Mackenzie Scott wins NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

Mackenzie Scott has won a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship! The fellowship provides three years of financial support (a stipend of $37k) for graduate school.  She will be entering a PhD program in either physics or (probably) astronomy. Congratulations!

Previously, she won the Goldwater Scholarship for 2022-23. Scott is a senior honors student double majoring in astronomy and astrophysics and physics with a minor in history. Mackenzie’s research at OSU is advised by Dr. Michael Lisa. She has also conducted research in collaboration with the University of Utah.
