Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Johnston-Halperin receives DOE semiconductor grant

Professor EJH

Penn State and Ohio State physicists and engineers are collaborating on a $1 million Department of Energy grant to find a replacement for gallium nitride, exports of which are limited, for semiconductor manufacturing. Ezekiel Johnston-Halperin, professor of physics and co-director of the Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering, is the Ohio State lead for the project. His lab will fabricate devices built up from one-atom-thick layers of boron nitride and explore a process called electron tunneling.

You can read more about this project on the Penn State website.

Congratulations, Professor Johnston-Halperin!
