A staff lunch at the Budd Dairy Food Hall in August was the location of the announcement of the 2022 John G. Whitcomb Distinguished Staff Awards.  Lori Arnold and June Sprowls were awarded there, followed by Margie Farrell who received  her award from the Chair, Michael Poirier on campus.  Each received a crystal trophy and a $750.00 one time cash award. 

Lori, Margie and June were nominated by their supervisors, peers or students. Members of the Physics Staff Advisory Committee interviewed nominators and additional supporters to provide consistent packages of materials to be evaluated. The award is named for John Whitcomb, a former Department Manager.
