Congratulations to graduate student Greg Vieira, with Professor Soory's group, who has received an OSU Graduate School Presidential Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship recognizes outstanding scholarship and research ability and provides recipients with the opportunity to devote full time to their dissertation research. The scholarship is for 1 year and will cover a stipend amount, tuition and fees, and a small travel allowance. Greg's research involves the development of various types of patterned magnetic surface structures that are used as traps of magnetic particles in microfluidic environments with the further goal of developing these technologies into biological analysis devices.
