Dongping Zhong receives Guggenheim Fellowship
Dongping Zhong has been named a 2013 Guggenheim fellow. He is one of 173 scholars, artists, and scientists from the United States and Canada awarded this prestigious fellowship. Since1925 the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has annually offered scholarships in the creative arts, humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. Guggenheim Fellows are appointed following recommendations of panels and juries consisting of hundreds of distinguished, artists, scholars and scientists who reviewed almost 3,000 applications. Guggenheim Fellows are appointed based on prior achievement and exceptional promise. Professor Zhong's award is in the category of Chemistry. He studies biological dynamics imaging in space and time by four-dimensional microscopy.
