Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Dr. Jim Fowler will describe the first two iterations of MOOCulus: the large-scale open online calculus that he and his team have presented in the Coursera platform with the support of the Office of Distance Education and eLearning. Dr. Fowler will describe the work  required to present these courses and the impact on students worldwide.  He will then discuss ways the lessons learned from these courses can be used to improve math education of OSU students via the use of online tools, hybrid teaching methods, and the examination of data about patterns in student learning.
