Student Life Disability Services: Creating Access Together

Speakers:

Heidi Aune, Accessibility Manager

Jamonae Scarborough, Access Specialist

Abstract:

Student Life Disability Services plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive academic environment by providing accommodations to over 8,000 students across the university. Our objective is to ensure equitable access for these students, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with faculty and staff across campus. We will share a brief overview of the services provided by SLDS,  provide guidelines for faculty aimed at enhancing accessibility in their courses, and facilitate a dialogue to promote a deeper understanding between SLDS and faculty.
