Undergraduate researcher in the Chowdhury Lab,  Shivam Tickoo, has been working on femtosecond laser technology development.  Sivam was recently awarded a prestigious Directed Energy Visiting Scholarship at the Plasma Physics Division at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC. The award will allow Shivam to continue his work on Mid IR femtosecond laser matter interaction for 12 weeks in summer of 2016 at US Department of Defense's premier laser lab, home of the NIKE laser.
