Undergraduate Student Lounge Grand Reopening

Attention Department of Physics students, faculty, and staff: the newly renovated Undergraduate Student Lounge is now open! That’s right, the Undergraduate Student Lounge is back and boasts a variety of new features including:

  • New carpet, ceiling tiles, paint, and furnishings
  • Added space of former tutoring rooms
  • New windows
  • A custom-made curved countertop in the main room
  • A glass off-room (Zoom room)
  • And a much more open and inviting environment!

The Undergraduate Student Lounge was remodeled for students, and the redesign was a collaborative effort with plenty of student input and engagement. We hope you will enjoy this new space, and we also hope to see you at our grand reopening on Friday, August 25th from 10:00-11:30 AM, in Room 1011 Smith Lab. Join us for donuts and coffee to celebrate the start of the semester in the new and improved Undergraduate Student Lounge. The West door will be the unlocked entrance. Donut forget!
