Technical Support Staff complete Vacuum Technology Training

Technical support staff members recently completed a course entitled “Basics of Vacuum Technology”.  This course was a six-week, 8-hour  department-sponsored, internal training seminar covering: Vacuum technology terminology and units of measure; Vacuum systems and the means of attainment of key vacuum levels; Vacuum technology as used in specific research applications; Vacuum technology as used in various industrial applications; Vacuum technology for cryogenic applications; Vacuum system design and component sizing and selection; Specialized fabrication and welding techniques and materials for vacuum systems.
