John Whitcomb and his lovely wife, Dorothy, were on hand for the Physics Dept. Picnic on Tuesday April 28 to present the Distinguished Staff Awards named in his honor.  This year's awardees are Bryan Dunlap, Shirley McClung and Pete Gosser.  John expounded on the work each one does for the department and the excellence of their work. 

The awardees receive a beautiful art glass trophy and a $750.00 cash award.

In addition, five other staff were awarded honorable mention: Mallory Aliff, Matt Barber, Jenny Finnell, Brad Hefner and Emma Wallis.  These staff were awarded a gift card from Barnes and Noble. 

In addition, Pete Gosser was surprised by a contingent from OSU Human Resources announcing that he is one of twelve (12) recipients of the University Distinguished Staff Award.  Congratulations Pete and congratulations to all those mentioned above.  Keep up the good work.
