Samuel Stuard named Fulbright Scholar

Samuel Stuard, senior Engineering Physics major, has been accepted to the 2013-2014 Fulbright U.S. Student Program.  This program provides grants for individually designed study or research projects in a country outside of the U.S. for one academic year.   As an undergraduate student, Samuel is a researcher for physics faculty member, R. Sooryakumar.  Samuel also participated in the DAAD RISE program, a research exchange program in Germany, during the summer of 2012.  He is scheduled to graduate with honors in May 2013 and will begin the Fulbright program in March 2014 where he will conduct research in experimental condensed matter physics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in March 2014.   Please join us in congratulating Samuel.
