Gordon Aubrecht named as inaugural AAPT Fellow

Emeritus Professor Gordon Aubrecht has been named to the inaugural class of AAPT Fellows. Fellowship is a distinct honor signifying recognition by one's professional peers and is awarded to individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to AAPT's mission to enhance the understanding and appreciation of physics through teaching. The award will be presented at the AAPT Summer Meeting in July in Minneapolis, MN.

Dr. Aubrecht is an active member in the AAPT and was awarded the AAPT Distinguished Service Citation in 1996.

Professor Aubrecht continues to be an advocate for enhancing the teaching and learning of physics at all levels, even after his retirement.  He is a Fellow of both the American Physical Society (APS) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and was awarded the Faculty Award for Distinguished University Service by OSU in 2007-08.
