Nuclear Physics Seminar - Nikolai N. Nikolaev (Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics) Baryogenesis After Sakharov and the Proton & Deuteron EDM Searches at Storage Rings
The CP violation is one of three Sakharov's principal ingredients for the baryogenesis in the Big Bang paradigm. While providing a so far satisfactory parameterization of the CP observed CP violation, the Standard Model is much too feeble to explain the observed baryon matter abundance in the Universe. Electric Dipole Moments offer a unique window at CP violation beyond the SM. The srEDM and JEDI collaboration plans for the proton&deuteron EDM searches ar storage rings will be reviewed with an emphasis on the theoretical and experimental understanding of the impending systematic limitations.
